How to get the full benefit of supplement powders without having to taste them

There are supplements that I really like to take but I really don’t like to taste. Some of these supplements are only available as a powder. Some are available as tablets or capsules but the cost is much greater.

For example, I like Dr. Schulze’s superfood powder which is based on the genius of legendary herbalist Dr. Christopher. This is available as tablets but it is cheaper as powder. The nutrition from superfood is also most quickly and completely utilized as a powder.

Dr. Schulze’s superfood is amazing for health and energy but it taste like ocean water. And that ocean water taste is practically impossible to hide in a smoothie or protein shake. It can be hidden in something savory and thick like a stew but most days I do not want to consume a thick savory stew.

Beef liver powder is another example of an amazing supplement (ensure you don’t have iron toxicity before trying this one) but it is just about impossible to hide the taste–even in something savory. High-quality beef liver capsules are available but you would have to take so many capsules to get the benefit that it would be costly.

Here’s how you get the full benefit without having to taste anything:

  1. Buy square sheets of rice paper.
  2. Cut each sheet of rice paper into 4 squares.
  3. Cook the squares in bowl of hot water for 30-60 seconds (depending on how hot the water is).
  4. Spoon up to 1 tablespoon of superfood powder (or another powder) in the center. (But try just a teaspoon the first time).
  5. Gather the 4 corners of the square and make something that looks like a tiny wonton or spring roll.
  6. Swallow it (it helps to tilt your head back).

This works so well because the rice paper becomes very soft and slimy–so it is easy to swallow–but is strong enough to keep the powder inside.
